Our Objective:

Votebychoice.ca is a non-partisan group of citizens dedicated to the modernization of municipal voting system where:

• "One X" voting (also known as First-Past-the-Post) currently exists.

• there is no party politics allowed.

By running a parallel election this fall in Ontario, we hope to begin to showcase how a Ranked Choice Voting system is a far superior example of democracy to voting systems that restrict citizens to "One X", one statement only.

The promotion of Ranked Choice Voting where party politics does not exist is in no way an endorsement of such a system for jurisdictions where party politics is allowed.
